Helping TE Connectivity build better managers

People don’t quit jobs—they quit bad managers! If you want high-performing teams and long-term retention of top talent, strong managers are key. The best way to achieve this? Identify the right people for managerial roles and invest in developing their managerial skills!

TE Connectivity, a leading American-Irish technology company, wanted a data-driven approach to evaluating their Individual Contributors, Team Leads and People Leads on essential managerial competencies. They wanted these insights to help determine who had the right managerial potential! Jombay conducted a Hybrid Development Centre, assessing their teams based on their respective levels.

Here’s what we did:

> Analysed them on key Managerial Competencies - The Development Centre was aligned with key behaviours crucial for success as a manager at TE Connectivity. These included Communication & Listening Skills, Presentation Skills & Leading Meetings, Change Management, Leadership Decision Making, Strategy to Execution and Execution Discipline.

> Implemented a hybrid assessment experience - We deployed a mix of personality assessments, case studies, and an assessor-led Behavioral Event Interview tailored to each team member’s level in the organization to ensure that the experience was scientifically valid & immersive!

> Provided detailed insights - Comprehensive reports were provided to give deep insights into the team’s managerial readiness.

The result?

TE Connectivity successfully identified top talent with strong managerial potential. The impact of the development center was evident in its exceptional Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 9— a true testament to its success!
