That was the spirit behind Collins Aerospace’s development initiative for its managers - named Conquering My Everest. This wasn’t just about building leadership skills—it was about helping leaders pause, reflect, and reconnect with who they are, where they want to go, and how they want to lead.
Together with Jombay, the journey began with a Development Centre focused on uncovering each leader’s strengths and growth areas. This was followed by a high-touch development journey to help them take purposeful steps forward.
How the journey unfolded:
Clarity before the climb – Participants were assessed through a combination of the 27 Echo Personality Assessment, Leadership Dialogue, and Case Study Presentation. These were mapped to Collins Aerospace’s (RTX) leadership behaviors - like Collaborating, Communicating Effectively, Driving Results, Instilling Trust, and Strategic Vision.
Reflections that mattered – Leaders received individual and summary reports, helping them recognize patterns, surface blind spots, and see their potential with clarity.
A short but meaningful development path – Through Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and digital learning modules, participants began translating insight into action - crafting development plans that felt personal and practical.
What emerged?
Many participants walked away not just with insight - but with intention. A renewed sense of purpose, stronger alignment to the organization’s Leadership Behaviors, and tools to take ownership of their growth journey.
This wasn’t about ticking boxes. It was about helping leaders conquer their ‘inner Everest’, and come back down with clarity, confidence, and commitment!
