Purpose at scale demands more than just passion.

Reliance Foundation (RF) works across sectors and has driven sustainable social change touching over 88.5 million lives. But behind every community impacted is a team member, a team lead, or a team head making decisions, navigating complexity, and driving outcomes on the ground.

The question RF asked itself: Are we as deliberate about developing our people as we are about serving communities?

Jombay helped answer it.

We designed and administered a customised Development Centre - mapped entirely to RF's own competency framework and spanning three distinct cohorts across the organisation.

Here's how it was built:

  • Three cohorts. Three levels of assessment rigour: Different experiences were tailored for Team Members, Team Leads, and Team Heads through a mix of personality insights, cognitive assessments, simulations, and leadership challenges - creating a practical and level-appropriate view of capability across the organization.
  • Competencies rooted in RF's DNA: The assessment framework was anchored to seven capabilities - Leading Self, Partners & Collaborates, Execution Rigour, Judgement & Decision Making, Managing Complexities, Impact & Influence, and Service Orientation - competencies that mirror exactly what it takes to deliver social impact with integrity and consistency.
  • Individual insight, cohort-level intelligence: Every participant received a personalised Individual Report. Leadership received Exercise Summary reports - creating both micro-level clarity for the individual and macro-level insight for the organisation.

What this enabled

RF now has a clear, structured picture of where its people stand, against the capabilities that matter most for their mission. Individual contributors gained meaningful self-awareness, team leads understood how they needed to grow into their roles, and team heads were given a mirror to reflect on their leadership impact.
